Fall Tour 2023 | Greetings from Austin
Sometimes, life is a Tornado. That’s what its feels like at least. It’s my own fault, naturally. I can engineer my life to more remedial alternatives—but where is the fun in that? I could be procrastinating the things I don’t want to be doing, and doing all the things I shouldn’t be doing. That notion dangles on an increasingly uninformed notion of what should or shouldn’t.
I totally should be on tour right now, so I’m doing that. I’m in Austin, Texas at the moment. I played a few gigs this weekend at Dreamland in Dripping Springs, Texas: and endless expanse of rolling hills, distilleries, pickle ball, and miniature golf. Lots of families there this weekend, at Dreamland that is. I set up and played for a bunch of people that weren’t there to see me, I venture. I thought I would try to see if I could find some folk that like what I do—and I did. I had a lot of fun the last two nights. I’m going to try and squeeze in a few other things. Visit with some friends, jam at a few of the bars like Donn’s Depot. I was introduced to a few of the local musicians last year. Chris Gage and Phil Hurley, who are pictured above. Both great dudes and stellar musicians. Chris plays every Monday night at Donn’s Depot, and loves to jam with folks. I figured I’d pop in and play a few with them on Monday night, and then drive to New Orleans Tuesday, on my way to the Pensacola Beach Songwriters Festival.
This is my first time playing a festival to my recollection, which is exciting. Here are a list of current dates for the Fall Tour. Naturally, as I play the shows, they will disappear below because this list is being pipped in from my Bandsintown.
