How long should it take for gigging musicians to be paid for their work? | INSIDE my HEAD

December 07, 2024 by Mike Vitale in Life, Interview

I’ve been having the hardest time getting money for work I’ve been doing the past several months. It’s frightening and frustrating and probably a few other F words. I want to tell you about this, but I also want to be there in the room with you, as I haven’t figured out how to clone myself yet—so this will have to do. I hope it will suffice.

I really like to make things (it could be anything) because it helps me.

Besides giving purpose to my life (as significant as that can be) it helps to focus my mind away from that which hurts, frustrates, discourages, and dominates my thoughts. I invite the reprieve.

Ironically, this video below discusses the very weight of my issue—which is new for me, at least in so far as to talking to you through a camera lens.

I am broke. So, I’m hanging out at home a lot. I invite the good company and thoughts and minds of you. You reading this. Talk to me Goose.
