Thanks Harry
This is my friend Harry. He took every bit of the money that I had in my bank account today.
So why am I smiling so big?
Because Harry’s a good guy. He helps out a lot of musicians and folks like me, by doing really crazy hard car repairs for an affordable rate.
I’m smiling so big because he gave me another 100,000 miles of life on my car to tour and play music and to try to find people that really genuinely love my art and want to see me succeed at this crazy endeavor of mine:
To connect with enough people that I can make a comfortable living as an artist. When I say connect, I mean genuinely connect. Like I touch their heart and soul.
I don’t know if you know this, but that has been pretty hard. I’m 46 and I’m still trying. For what I lack in a lot of things, I make up for in effort and perseverance against all odds—and heart—speaking of which:
I had a girlfriend once who told me that I wear my heart on my sleeve. Yup. I do.
Thanks Harry: this smile couldn’t get any bigger if I tried. You got me back on the road. I can’t thank you enough for that.
